Privacy and cookies
This page explains how Straps01 uses information when you browse the catalogue, create an account or contact us. For questions or a privacy request, write to [email protected]. Our published contact and hosting details are in the legal notice.
Your cookie choices
Manage cookie preferences to allow Google Analytics or choose “Only necessary”. You can change your decision at any time. Withdrawing consent stops future Google Analytics collection on this browser and removes its accessible first-party cookies; it does not automatically delete data previously collected.
Information you provide
- Account: your name, email address, account credentials and any saved addresses support login and account management. You can update your details in My account.
- Contact: your name, email, optional phone number and message let us answer your request. Do not include passwords or payment card details. Contacting us does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
- Orders: when ordering is available, customer details, delivery information and order records are used to fulfil purchases, handle support and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Payment information is handled through the payment service used at checkout.
- Availability alerts: if you request an alert, we use your email and the selected product to provide that notification. The separate newsletter option is optional.
Why information is processed
Account and order information is used to provide the services you request and take steps connected with a purchase. Responding to enquiries, maintaining the site and preventing abuse serve our legitimate interests. Where applicable, accounting and other statutory records are kept to meet legal obligations. Optional analytics and newsletter subscriptions rely on your consent, which you can withdraw.
Cookies and browser storage
- Site operation: session, security and form-validation cookies support login, the basket and secure forms. Magento also uses browser storage for customer interface data. Blocking this storage can prevent those functions from working.
- Consent preference:
user_allowed_save_cookierecords acceptance;straps01_cookies_declinedrecords refusal for 180 days. Clearing browser storage or changing browser requires a new choice. - Google Analytics 4: loaded after acceptance, it measures pages viewed and interactions using cookies such as
_gaand identifiers starting with_ga_. It is not required to use the site. See Google’s privacy policy. - Ahrefs Web Analytics: the site also loads Ahrefs’ cookie-free audience measurement service, independently of the Google Analytics choice. See Ahrefs’ privacy policy.
Service providers and external links
OVHcloud hosts the storefront. Cloudflare processes web requests for delivery and security. Resend handles outgoing email, including recipient addresses and message content. Google and Ahrefs provide the analytics described above. These services can process technical information such as network addresses, browser details and requests as necessary to operate.
Providers may process information outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Their policies describe processing locations and transfer arrangements: OVHcloud, Cloudflare and Resend.
Amazon links include an affiliate tracking identifier. If you follow one, Amazon operates the destination website and applies its own privacy and cookie policies. Buying through an affiliate link may earn Straps01 a commission. See our affiliate disclosure.
Retention
Retention depends on the purpose of the record: account administration, resolving an enquiry, providing an alert, completing an order, or complying with applicable accounting and legal obligations. You can ask us for the retention period applying to your information and request deletion. Information still needed to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute may need to be retained.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. To make a request, contact us using the email connected to your account; we may need to verify your identity.
You may also raise a concern with your local data protection authority. In France, this is the CNIL.
